A New York editorial
So, I think I’ve written about this styling class that FIT New York offers among their summer programmees… since it was a 3 day class I really had no big expectations on it, but it was sooo good… i mean, they set everything up so you get to do your own editorial using their contacts so you get to work with pro’s on the fied, that is a fashion photographer, model agencies, make up artists, brand clothing… and that stuff, you know what I mean… all that in freakin New York city. So it was quite amusing, and they give you, of course, all the insights in the job prior the selection of models, clothing, etc…
The task was to prepare an editorial shoot for Porter Grey, and this is a peek on what my team worked out. We had the luck to work with Michael Creagh, yeah, I’ve talked about him before, and for the model we picked Libby Armstrong, very pretty but OMG such a sweetheart! Isn’t it fun when you meet pretty people that happen to be so nice and lovely? (yeah, like that happens often)
And all the backstage?? it was a load of fun!! :D … I don’t think they could really be mean to us since they are suppossed to be teaching us… is not like we are pro’s! … and we DID learn… the whole setting up for the styling, the prior shoots when the look and accesories are picked… a bit exhausting, yes. Then I had the chance to help out on a real shoot, it was still fun… though not as lay back gotta say… but that’s work! you gotta wear your smile and figure out things…despite you have no idea on where you are standing!
Hope you like the looks :D
